Starving Artist Candy

One last post before I start packing like mad. Left my pile for last, again.

Starving Artist Stamps are releasing a new line of stamps and you have to take a peek. They are superb! You may also get the chance to win the new collection. I urge you to take a look.

I myself love stamping with these, they are wonderful to color.

See you when I get back from Camping.

Hello,

This is one of my Christmas cards, I am planning on making 6 of each style, and this is style number 1. I won't post all of them, as I want them to be a surprise to those I send them to. If you get the chance, check out Moxie Fab's Christmas Card Challenges. They will get you in the mood!

Have a great weekend,

Mojo Monday #96- Birthday Invitations

Hello,

Here are two cards using Mojo Monday's #96 layout. It is amazing what good paper does to make a card appear rich.

I love this SU paper. I also got to use my CTMH texture tools to add the speckles to the paper. I colored them with my Copic's which is a learning experience every time, and if you look closely at the sword, the blender was used to remove some of the color to make it look like it was shinning.

I will be using these for my daugher's birthday party invitations. We are going to climb aboard the Pirate Ship at Mooney's Bay for a pirate adventure. Aaargh mateys!

Have a great Friday. I am off on vacation for two weeks, no computer. Sigh!

Until then take care,

Tanya

Whiff of Joy Piercing Challenge #39

Good Day!

This challenge was to use one Whiff of Joy Stamp, and incorporate piercing into the card. I used Willow with her Umbrella for the stamp, and then took my Stampin Up brass template and embossed the background paper, and pierced a pattern into it.

The card looked unfinished, so I took a vellum piece of paper, dry embossed, pierced and folded it. The rest came together on its own.

I was going to add more on the top, but every time I did, it just looked cluttered. This is the final project. The inside reads, "Feeling under the Weather". I am sending it to a friend who just had her appendix out.

Happy Sunday,

Tanya

Personal Request for a Friend

Finally, I have some time to upload one of the cards my friend has asked me to make. I made a personalized card for her daughter, and she loved it. So much so that she has requested 3 cards using the same technique with the letters.

I cut the letters out with my Sizzix machine, and then use Crystal Effects to make them look glossy. I had a hard time putting this together, but given my time restraint and difference in personal taste, this is what I came up with.

She liked it, that is what counts.

Happy Friday everyone.

Candy Links

Good Morning,

I have had little time this week to do anything, so I am simply posting a link for some awesome candy. Check out Michelle's Scrap for some sweet candy. Have a great Thursday, and I hope to have some pictures to post for tomorrow.

Mojo Monday #94

Hello,

I chose to do a layout with the Mojo Monday #94 layout. This is what it turned out like. At first glance it does not seem like the same sketch, but I turned it upside down, and voila!

I am glad to have added another page to Miss Jayme's Scrapbook.

Happy Monday all!

Whiff of Joy Challenge #38

Here is my card using Katharina Frei's layout. I enjoyed coloring Willow, she is such a pretty little thing. She reminds me of my eldest Karlye. She is often this happy, and carefree.

I sanded the cardstock to give it a rustic look, and sanded the background behind Willow to soften the colors. It was fun using a new technique to get a desired effect I was content with.

I hope you enjoy looking at her, as much as I enjoyed putting her together.
Happy Friday everyone.

Tanya

Card for my Niece.

Here is my niece's Birthday card. I showed you her twin brother's card last week. I was told the cards went directly out of reach before they could get manhandled. The twins are only 2, so it is what they do at the moment.

Hope you are all well. I am eagerly waiting to see who the Guest DT will be for the Whiff of Joy blog Hop on July 25th. I was afraid to post this, as I don't know if they have seen everyone's entries yet, and worry that they won't scroll down to see mine. Although, I think mine is a bit to plain. But we shall see.

Well, I am working on another Willow card and will post her tomorrow. I am really enjoying my groove lately. So much so that I was up till 12:30 last night coloring. But I got to sleep in today as we had to take miss Jayme to the Children's Doctors today.

Have a great Thursday,

Tanya

Whiff of Joy Sketch #47 Blog Hop Guest Designer Challenge!

Here is my card for the Blog Hopper Guest Designer Challenge. This is my first attempt to be part of something outside my craft room. I am very nervous entering this, as my style is very basic. But one never knows unless one tries. I do hope I get some feedback though.

The sketch was posted by Katharina Frei, and the challenge closes on July 8th, 2009.

I used The Whiff of Joy Summer 2009 stamps for the image and the sentiment. The inner stamp was the Autumn Leaves Stitched Journalling panel.

October Afternoon Weathervane paper and Stampin Up cardstock were my paper sources.

I used Close to my Heart Archival ink to stamp all images, and then colored it all in using my Prisma Colors and Gamsol to blend it all together.

I tied it all together with Hemp Twine, and popped out images from the background paper to complete the sketch. On the inside I popped out the flower and used Crystal Effects to make it prettier.

Feel free to leave me feedback please.

Have a great Tuesday.

Nephew's Birthday card

Good evening,

Hope all is well with everyone. I made this for my nephew who is turning 2, I will post his twin sisters card sometime later this weekend.

I had fun coloring this, and once again, Sassafras lass paper has made it easy to piece this together with minimal effort.

Have a great weekend,

I have to add that I am grateful to everyone who has been kind to me. It really makes me value life, and I hold on to that when I am feeling vulnerable.

My God Son's 7th Birthday

Hello,

One more day and it is Friday. Yipee!

This is one of the many birthday cards I have been producing this past week. Mikey really liked it. That makes it all worth while.

I love it when design paper makes it so easy to put a card together. Although I can not remember who this DP belongs to. I found it amongst my many piles.

Have a great Friday, let us hope the sun comes out for us.

Hello,

Here is a card I made for my daughter's friend who is turning 5. I really enjoyed doing this one. I kept the design simple as the paper was busy.

Happy Canada Day everyone.

:) Tanya

This has been a busy month, I have three more cards to show you!
